Beyond Borders: Migration, ICTs and Health

The event will be in both English and Spanish (the 1st 2 presentations in Spanish and the last in English)

This panel will look at how ICTs can improve the health of migrants:

We’re grateful to have the following panelists to lead our discussion:

• Dr. Rubén Silván, international researcher on migration. México/Honduras
• Dr. Ishtar Govia, Ph.D., Lecturer in Psychology, UWI Mona, Jamaica
• Dr. Luis Hernández, Director of Public Health studies at University of Andes. Colombia

Our panelists will offer insight on the following questions among others:

1. Which health conditions make migrants a vulnerable group?
2. Which health related situations can be addressed through the use of ICT?
3. How have ICTs contributed to migrant health? Could you provide some examples?
4. What potential do you see in the use of ICTs to improve migrant health?
